Home page says "Area 404 This area does not exist" Funny, not helpful

  1. Hi,

    I hadn't done much with site until today. I recently changed the theme to Licorice, but there are only 2 pages and no content. I published 1 of the pages as a post so I could see if that would go under the Home page, but the area 404 sign remains. What do I do to get rid of it?

  2. Oh, and now when someone searches and finds my main page, the Area 404 sign is what they see. I need help very soon!

  3. Go to Settings > Reading: what have you set the blog front to display, your latest posts or a static page? If a static page, which page?

    Seriously, Thank You! I'm doing this site for a friend and couldn't remember how we had set up the site a year ago or so.
