I’m new to WordPress.com so thanks for any help you can give me. My blog started out, sunyittech.wordpress.com. I then changed it to sunyittechnologist.wordpress.com. I just noticed a major problem though. When I click on the HOME like in the main navigation it directs me to WordPress.com where I see the message “sunyittech.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this blog.” Which I did after reading/watching the change URL tutorial.
The upper Navigation is done with a Menu from the Appearance tab if that matters/helps.
Is there a way to fix the homepage. I was supposed to go live with this soon. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is sunyittechnologist.wordpress.com.
In posting this I answered my own question. I did think to check the menu settings. In Apparence-Menu I needed to click the Home link in menu I created, hit the down arrow and change the address in the site field. Agh, crazy mistake.
sunyittech.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.
You deleted that blog. Now you have to change the blog linked to your WordPress.com username and link it to your new primary WordPress.com blog URL which is http://sunyittechnologist.wordpress.com/
Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.
Note: This chnage is not retoractive all comments you previously left will still be linked to the blog you deleted.
