Hosting and SEO EMEGENCY!

Add topic to favorites
I just signed up for my own hosting to host my current wordpress hosted blog on my own host. I imported everything from my wordpress hosted blog to my own host. Should I delete the wordpress hosted blog now? I’m thinking I should so that I don’t have any issues in search engines.

No, nobody ever answers questions here. Thank you for your courtesy and patience on a sunny Sunday afternoon when people might be doing other things instead of rushing to answer SEO questions for people who are leaving WP.com anyway.

I looked up your threads and all of your questions have been answered.

If you’ve imported everything to your new blog and CONFIRMED it’s all there, you can either delete the old one (neither you nor anyone else will be able to use that URL again, though) or you can set it to Private if you want to use it as an archive, just in case.
