How can i change the name of the author on wordpress posts using CSS?

    I want to manually insert author names in the byline without creating individual users for each one. I am using the Opti theme on premium. Can I do this through CSS?

    The blog I need help with is

    CSS can hide the author byline or alternatively style how the author byline is presented, but it cannot change the content itself.

    I don’t see that Opti currently supports Content Options, which would give you the option of entirely hiding the author byline. It can be done by adding some CSS, provided you have either the Premium or Business upgrade plans.

    Sorry if I am stating the obvious, but if you are admin on a multi-author site, for security reasons each user/author should have their own WordPressdotcom account. Here’s more on user roles and what each allows.

    As mentioned there, for security, there should be only one Admin per site.

    @gpcseries, the only way to do this, if you wish to copy/paste content from someone else, instead of giving them author or contributor access, would be to hide the existing byline, which you have done with the following custom CSS

    .byline {
    	display:none !important;

    and then add an author byline to the top of the post content.
