How can I check my email at my wordpress domain to verify a google apps account?
-
I tried to set up google apps, and used (email visible only to moderators and staff) as my email. However, I hadn’t set that up yet. So I went to my wordpress dashboard to set up the email, chose google as my email provider, logged in into my google apps account, and tried to “Authorize a Connection”, which takes me to Google Apps. But google apps says that I first must check my email at (email visible only to moderators and staff) to verify that I’m the owner of this domain. So I keep going in circles. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I’m sorry for the hassle, and I’ll be happy to take a look.
When following the steps for the Add Email wizard, is Gmail active on this page at Google Apps?

Can you also take a full screenshot of this page at Google Apps, and upload the image to our Media Library?

Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the help. No, gmail is not active- none of the them are. It´s because I set up the Apps account, but can´t receive the verification email they sent me. That´s because when I was signing up for Apps, I mistakenly put as my email one that didn´t exist yet, @my wordpress domain. I thought I was simultaneously setting up google Apps and a new email.
There are two screen shots in this document in my Media Library:
http://laurenmbutler.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/setting-up-google-apps.doc
One showing that none of the Apps features are activated in my account, and the other of where I got stuck following the wordpress procedure. The only way I can think of to fix this is to somehow create the mail account at my wordpress domain, check for the Apps verification email, and THEN I should be able to use Apps with that email. Is that correct? Or is there another way you know of?
Thank you so much for your help!

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to correct that on our end. Without verifying the Google Apps account, there will be no email at your domain.
In this case, you’ll need to contact Google Apps about changing the verification email address.
