how can I get my videopress money back?

  1. I payed for videopress for a blog I had for some days.
now I deleted the blog and I won't be using videopress anymore.
I want to recover the money of videopress.
    how can I achieve that?

  2. Please help me get this straight. You deleted the blog, right? So now you cannot access the Store and request a refund. Is that correct?

  3. yes I deleted the blog.
I didn't know I had to first claim a refund from videopress and then close the blog.
I'm not using the blog anymore so it seemed logic to just close it.
I had no idea the videopress account was in any way related to it.

  4. Thanks for confirming. This thread has been flagged for Staff assistance. It's a long weekend so please be patient while waiting for them to get back to you.

  5. I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that if you didn't like videopress you had x amount of days to cancel your subscription.
but I can't find that text or a way to actually cancel the subscription.

  6. You can read this below but note that I have flagged this thread because you deleted the blog so Staff will have to do this for you.

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard
    If applicable see see

  7. it says one way is contacting support.
does this thread count as "contacting support" ?
I also filed a paypal claim to get the attention of support from that side too.

  8. Yes this thread is marked for Staff and yes that counts as contacting Support (Staff). They will get back to you when they can and it may not be until after the long weekend.

  9. With any upgrade, except domain registrations, you have 30 days to contact us for a full refund, and some can ever be refunded by yourself from Store -> My Upgrades in your blog's Dashboard.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to issue a refund for this upgrade as you have opened a dispute with PayPal. The dispute process locks the transaction and prevents us from doing anything with it.

If you close the dispute with PayPal, we will be able to issue a refund for you.

  10. I closed the dispute.

  11. Flagged for Staff.

  12. I have canceled and refunded your VideoPress upgrade as requested.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

  13. thanks a lot.
too bad doesn't support adsense and all the other advertisement systems, otherwise I would have kept on using it....

  14. You're welcome!

If you're interested, we do have an advertising program called WordAds, which you can read more about at
