How can I make a new widget with HTML?

  1. I'm trying to add the widget to my blog with theme Bueno on it but am having a difficult time. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I tried the Text Widget, but it only displays the code. Tried making a custom menu widget, but still only displaying code or an error page.

    The blog I need help with is

  2. Some of the code may be getting stripped out:

  3. There are code restrictions here. If the code is for an iframe or it's JavaScript you cannot use the widget.

    Will you please provide the code betweent backticks so we can examine it? The backtick ` not to be confused with the single quote mark ' is located to the left of the number 1 key in lower case under the tilde ~.

  4. Here's the entire code. I didn't see any backticks at all. That could be part of the problem...

    <div class="rmnWidget" data-type="mostPop" data-count="5" data-bgcolor="#eeb0a0" data-fgcolor="#457e9b" data-width="300" data-showsearch="true" data-title="Today's RetailMeNot Savings Galore!" data-affiliateid="9c2bdc058ec64dd6997cecc8bc279777"><p class="rmnCloser">Coupons from Coupons</p></div><script>var rmn = rmn || {};rmn.widget = rmn.widget || [['init']];(function(d, t) {var w = d.createElement(t),s = d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0];w.async = 1;w.src = d.location.protocol + '//';s.parentNode.insertBefore(w, s);}(document, 'script'));</script>

  5. It's JavaScript and you cannot use it on a blog.
