  4. Hi Anna (and ignore the idiot above). Post editor > click Add an Image > Select Files from your computer (you can select more than one at once) > click Save all changes > select gallery settings > click Insert gallery.

  5. Thanks so much now see that is an easy straight forward answer I needed :)
I will try it out. BTW, do you like my blog?

  6. YAY I did it.
Please go take a look and tell me if it looks okay.

  8. Of course you did it and of course it looks ok. And you did well to select the image link instead of the attachment page, because the second is an unfortunate invention we cannot control.

I only have one piece of advice. You're uploading the original files, and these are huge (last one is almost 3MB - 3008x2000 px at a resolution of 300): you're unnecessarily wasting storing space and uploading time, also making your page slower to load for someone with a slow connection. You should upload copies of your photos after you edit them in an image editing application to reduce their resolution to 72 and/or optimize them for the web.

  9. Yea, I know I need to save copies of my photos for the web. I will start reducing their size. I know I really do not need to original huge size on the web. Dont worry I already had that in my head :) Thanks. Anna.

It's too bad there is no way to make a gallery one can click through, with arrows, to get from one photo to the next easily. That would be a fantastic and simple feature.

  11. @jacobbockelmann: In some themes you do get navigation tabs in gallery attachment pages. Rumor is the next wp update will include that in all themes. In the meantime, I've worked a way to add such tabs (if you care to go through the awful chore it is):

And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here - or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.
