The easiest way is to use one of the online HTML table generators where you basically set your options and such and it will generate the code which you can then paste into the HTML tab in the page or post editor here.
Just search for “html table generator” (without the quotes) and you will get a bunch of hits.
Alternately if you are on windows, you can download the free Windows Live Writer blog client which has a table function in it and you can do all your work right there in WLW and then it will even post everything for you directly from WLW. Another benefit to WLW is that copies of your posts are stored right on your computer. It is highly unlikely that wordpress will ever lose your stuff, but it is just another level of safety.
