How do I add links to related articles at the end of my posts?

  1. When I created my first post, there was an option in the editor to attach a link to related articles at the end of my post. There were several options, and they all had thumbnails beside them. I believe this option was located in the writing helper box, below the created post, in the editor window... Since my initial post, I have never seen this option appear again. How can I bring it back up?

  2. There was an experiment sometime ago now whereby such related posts were displayed. However, there has never been an official announcement regarding the same, despite the fact I see them appearing on free hosted blogs.

  4. Provided your are logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog, and who is the Admin of the blog, Zemanta works on every free hosted blog and you enable it as described here >

  5. Hello again miss timethief. First, let me thank you for trying to resolve this issue that I am having. I took your advice, followed the first link that you gave me, only to find that the "Recommendations" button was nowhere to be found on the Screen Options dropdown. I know, sounds a little strange. I have followed the directions to a T, more than once, and I still cannot find Recommendations anywhere. As far as the second link goes, I have had it activated since I first started working on the site. I am at a loss. Maybe you can point out something that I am missing.

  7. Are you logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and who is the Admin of the blog?

    If you are then I don't know how to help you as I set Zemanta up on all my blogs following those instructions.

  9. I am an invited Admin. I have complete control over the site. You think the fact that I am invited is the problem? Maybe I should pass these instructions on to the guy who started the account.

  10. Ok, check this out. The "How to" shows the following under the "Show on screen" dropdown: Likes and Shares, Categories, Tags, and Rcommendations. However, I have a different set of options on that very same screen, including Likes and Shares, Format, Categories, Tags, Location, Featured Image, Exerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Slug, Author, and Writing Helper. There is no checkbox for Recommendations. What's up with that?

  12. Thank you. This option would be a great addition to my blog, and I don't understand why it is not available to me. How can I view an example of what Zemanta actually does? Is it the same as the links that I was initially asking about?

    Is the site you need help with or another site? If another site, please give us the link, starting with http:// to make it clickable.

  14. Are you referring to the tutorial site WPBeginner? If so, you would do better to refer to the tutorial written specifically for users of which is where your site is located Work through it step-by-step and then use the Support site to target specific topics

    Anything else you find on the web about "WordPress" most likely has to do with the standalone version of the WordPress software. That information may or may not be relevant for the environment here at

  15. Yes justjennifer, insideff is the site that I am referring to. Thank you for clarifying the difference there between the two different formats. I must admit, some of the stuff I've managed to search has been either counterintuitive or downright confusing... But that doesn't change the fact that there is no check box for "Recommendations" in the screen options dropdown, located in my post/page editor. I'm baffled on this one. As for Zemanta, I still don't know what it is that I'm looking for. It sounds like something that would really help me out. I need the assistance of somebody that has worked on more than the one website that I've ever "built". Lol. Please guide me in the right direction.

  19. No we Volunteers do not access blogs. Staff can, of course, do that and will as soon as they work their way through to this thread.

  24. Yes raincoaster. I have been referred to that screen on a couple different occasions. I have yet to find any of the information useful in helping solve this problem. I have activated everything I have been told to activate, and I have turned on all options that I have been presented with, to no avail. Never once have I even seen a check box "Recommendations".
