I wanted to change the background color of my page from white to black, as well as change the font color to accompany. Can I do this?

Do you have a wordpress.com blog?
Do you have css editing skills?
Have you purchased the css upgrade?
Without the upgrade you cannot edit the background colour of your blog or change the font throughout your blog.

With the CSS upgrade this is easy. Without it is impossible :)

Hi, yes I have a wordpress page at http://www.sinkorswim.wordpress.com but no, I have no CSS editing skills. I did however purchase the CSS upgrade, so it would be amazing if I could get a minor tutorial or walkthrough.

For CSS tutorials you could try these sites:

    {wave to devblog} :)
We seem to be seeing a pattern on the forum of bloggers without css skills who are purchasing the upgrade despite the fact it’s not recommended to those who have no css skills. They seem to want the professionals who occasionally drop in here to do their work for them free of charge. I find this expectation to be weird. There is no shortcut to learning css.
Mark has also listed css resources in the FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/08/15/where-can-i-find-css-customization-help/
Andy has a thread in the css customization forum with resources too https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=3241
And there are other sticky posts in that forum that are helpful also. Here’s the link to that forum https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum.php?id=3&page

And furthermore editing the default org theme of Kubrick – which is the one here – is almost impossible.
I wish I hadn’t written what I did earlier. But I did not appreciate which theme the OP was using.

Yesh Kubrick is problematic theme so a theme change is the way to go prior to undertaking this, for sure. :)

There is also a decent CSS tutorial at http://www.tizag.com . Once you know the terms you’re looking for, it’s basically just a bunch of scrolling to find the terms and change one colour to another. Easy.

    Please post your specifics.
Do you have a wordpress.com blog?
Is this it? http://deciphereflections.wordpress.com/ in the Redoable Lite theme
Do you have css editing skills?
Have you purchased the css upgrade?

Without the css upgrade you can change font but not background colour one post at a time http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/
