How do I get Freshly pressed?
How does one get “freshly pressed”? is it a random picking? I mean there is a recent blog post that Ive written that I would really like to share with the world, but how would I get that blog “pressed” instead of another random blog post?
The blog I need help with is barefacedafghan.wordpress.com.
It’s mystifying, but in fact some of them are worth reading and commenting on (though some of them seem banal).
I have a blogspot blog too, and there I continually got hits on a post I headed ‘Smurf porn’ (It was nothing to do with Smurfs, in fact, nor porn). So I included the words in two more titles, and the hits just won’t stop! I even posted a satirical story (which stops before it gets to the adult stuff) in order that the hitters would actually bother to read past the first line of the post… All of these hits came from Google, so that tells you something.
Mind you, I don’t think a wordpress post headed ‘Smurf porn’ would get you on Freshly Pressed.
Marie, You have to be careful doing that as the search engines see that sort of thing as “spammy” and they could well dump your site in the basement.
@thesacredpath They haven’t done so far! It appears on the first page of Google if one puts in the term.
Basically it all came about as the result of a joke and I am unlikely to repeat it.
(oops, I’m using a different log-in. Sorry, currently working on setting up a new wordpress site)
Was these really able to be FP? The content wasn’t unique. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/08/19/growth-of-wordpress/ Sorry If I’m not understanding the rules of Freshly Pressed. :)
I was actually wondering if Freshly Pressed had been changed. The same blogs have appeared on the page for 2 or 3 days now. I cleared my caches thinking that cookies may have caused the problem (cookies are at the root of everything that wrecks my life), but the same blogs appear. I tried to search the forum, but nothing closely related popped up. The answer is probably right under my nose, and I apologize ahead of time for that!
There they are! I’ve missed them so!
