How do I get my .com address to direct to a new blog URL, instead of my old one?

  1. I already purchased domain mapping for an old blog name, but I deleted that blog completely and started a new one with a new with a new URL. Now I want my .com address mapped to my new blog, but when I changed my nameservers for my .com address it still directs it to my old blog. I've been searching for a while now and can't find any specific answers for this. Can someone please help?

  2. What is the old blog URL? What is the custom domain? What is the URL of the blog you want it mapped to? Did you buy the domain mapping upgrade for that blog?

  3. I've found a couple other threads addressing this problem and it seems like WordPress staff need to get involved. I'd love it if someone could help.

  4. Sorry, raincoaster. I hadn't refreshed this thread before I wrote that comment.

    I bought the domain mapping for The custom domain is Then I deleted adamklassenmusic and built I tried to map the domain to the new blog, but it won't let me saying "This domain has already been mapped to a blog."

    But I deleted the blog it was mapped to, so I'm not sure where to go from here.

  8. Staring a new thread will not help you. Staff deal with threads that have the earliest dates first and move forward. See here and scroll down to see the number of pages full of threads that Staff have waiting for their attention.
