    Hi Jen,

You can hide/delete the left sidebar in the Ascetica theme by going to Appearance > Widgets in your Dashboard. You can either hide or delete each of the widgets you placed in the left sidebar. Please make sure to save!

    Thank you, Grace!
I will try this asap! It’s funny – I didn’t actually place anything in that sidebar. It just came up full of options when the theme activated.

    cheers,
    Jen

    Hi Grace,

Do you know how I can delete the search box in the leftside bar? It won’t go away with the method suggested above, which worked perfectly for the other widgets. Thank you!

    Hi Jen,

The search box on the left-hand side is actually built into the theme. Therefore, in order to delete it you would need the Custom Design Upgrade ($30/year), and edit the CSS. With this upgrade comes the ability to activate custom fonts/colors in addition to editing the CSS.

You can find more information about this here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

If you decide to purchase it, we have a CSS forum with great staff/volunteers who would be happy to help you:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization

However, feel free to reach out to me if you need help with this!
