How do I make the <embed> tag work

  1. How do I make the <embed> tag work? when I put it into a post and save, it disappears. I'm trying to embed some videos.

Here's one I'm trying to embed:

    <embed style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" quality="best" bgcolor="#ffffff" scale="noScale" wmode="window" salign="TL" > </embed>

  2. [googlevideo=]

basically its [googlevideo=http:lasdjflasjfand you finisht it after embedded]

  3. just to add to this, i know the embed tags are disabled due to security but is there anyway to have them enabled on a case by case basis?

reason being, i want to use my site as a blog/online portfolio. i'm a reviewer of windows mobile devices and my most recent reviews have been interactive, using quicktime (see here for example:

Is there anyway i could have the tags enabled on my account?

  4. Some case by case items have been done in the past. You would have to send in a Feedback from your Dashboard requesting this but unless you're Scooby or on the Top100, I seriously doubt that this will occur.

You might be better off with a hosted blog that you pay for.

    Good luck,

  5. Can someone help me use the the bottom one on this page "" in embed code

  6. No. Please read the thread you posted in: embeds are not allowed.

  7. If you wish to post videos, options are available. Type "video" into the FAQ searchbox. Also try typing in "vodpod".
