I visited WordPress.com to get a domain name and a blog for my business. I accepted to pay $99 to upgrade it. my blog is showing as http://ahorremuchomas.wordpress.com. how do I get wordpress.com removed from my domain name.

I checked in billing history, I shows:

    Upcoming Charges
    $99 Dec 09, 2014WordPress.com Premium Yearly
    $5 Dec 09, 2014Domain Registration Yearly
    $13 Dec 09, 2014Domain Mapping Yearly

it seems I already paid for the domain mapping yearly registration, but it is not showing as it should, without wordpress.com

I hope some one will be able to help me. I thank you all,

    Johana

The blog I need help with is ahorremuchomas.wordpress.com.

    That’s not allowed.

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

Oh no! I misunderstood you. What you mean is how do I set up domain mapping.

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

See here for mapping a sub-domain (for a domain with an existing website) to your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Timethief, thanks a lot for taking time to answer my questions.

I already purchased the Domain Mapping, I don’t see any changes. I still see ‘wordpress.com’

Am I supposed to do anything I have not done?

ps. I apologize, but I am new making my blog.

    Thanks,

    Johana

    Hi timethief,

Great! Thanks a lot. I do not mind waiting. I was concerned I could be missing anything and then it could be late to make any changes.

    Many thanks,

    Johana

It looks like everything is set up, and you just need to choose your custom domain as your primary domain on this page:
