how do I remove News from my blog list?

  1. This has somehow been added to my blog list, and there seems to be no way to remove it (from my end, at any rate). Its a lovely site, but not a place I plan on visiting since I don't have a blog there and only know a few people who do. Is there a way for me to gently remove this myself?

  2. You are in the wrong place entirely based on your blogs url, this is not blogspot.

  3. my apologies. it was placed in my list, i just wondered how and why and if someone here had a suggestion, if only to explain how it got there. sorry. I won't bother you again.

  4. I don't see any sites listed on your account. Could you please send the link of the page where you encounter this issue?

    Looking forward to your reply.

  5. thanks, kardotim; its under Dashboard, Google Friend Connect. It doesnt show on the site itself, since its under 'sites ive joined'. thats why you dont get to see it. I didn't know it was there, either, until I happened into Dashboard (which is now for some reason a separate entity at Google). I just wondered how it got there, is all.
when i click on " settings" for it, I get a small logo box for it, and this:

" News uses Google Friend Connect to power our site's community"

no, im not a known member of this, and its apparently not the snake in the kitchen, but I was curious it if was removable. Google sometimes does strange things to their loyal customers. Loyal or not.

  6. addendum

in my "blogs Ive joined" area in my blog I also have this link listed as a go to. No idea why it's there.

  7. Could you please send the link of the "sites I've joined" page? I'm having a hard time finding the place you are referring to.

    Looking forward to your reply.

  8. you're being very patient, and i think your time would be better spent on the important stuff, kardotim. The "sites i've joined" page, btw, is in my own backroom, where you probably can't go unless you're me or a Google techie. Those same sites are also visible on the blog page, in a side bar under the heading "blogs I follow" with the exception of the WordPress information. Why it's not there I do not know. I'm thinking it's just a misconnect bewteen Google and WP.
ive decided this can't be removed, apparently, so Im just going to pretend its not there. =(

    Thank you for your patience.

  9. If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can send the screenshot to this e-mail address. The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
