A lot of people leap into the deep end and then end up confused. You can save yourself some time and energy by using the tutorial and support docs. On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/ The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

    Hi,

I want to use WordPress as a CMS for a website that I already have (www.asapper.com). How do I do that?

    Thank you.

WordPress.com is not really adapted for that. It’s adapted for original blogging. You could map that domain to a new WP.com site if you wanted, but it would mean leaving your existing site behind.

If you bought paid hosting and used WordPress.ORG software, you’d have more options. That’s better-adapted for a CMS.

Yes I have paid hosting and I’ll ask if they have WordPress.org software installed. Unfortunately I can’t re-map because I have Google analytics and other scripts running on the website.

    Thanks for your response!

Don’t worry about that; you can’t run Google Analytics on a WP.com blog anyway. Should all work out for the best.
