I am very very new to this and would appreciate some help. I usually write a blog on a forum for everyone to read and as I take up quite a bit of space on the forum I decided to use the wordpress blog. How do I let others have access just to read the blog please?
The Privacy Settings control what type of visitors can read your blog. There are 3 options and if you choose option 1 then your blog will be publicly displayed and crawled by search engines which means your posts will appear in search engine results. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
@brindleboy – if you set your blog privacy to Private, note that you’ll have to invite users to view it, and they must have a WordPress.com login. If they aren’t already signed up to WordPress.com, you can send them invites via Users > Invites. After they sign up, add them via Settings > Privacy.
