How do you delete a QuickPress once published?

  1. I was just testing out the QuickPress option cause I'm new to WordPress, and now I cant get my silly little test sentence off my blog! Anyone know how to delete a QuickPress once it's been published to the blog?

The blog I need help with is

  2. We need a link to your blog, starting with http, in order to help you.

the thing I'm trying to get rid of is on the right hand side and says "hello willy con!"

  4. Thanks.

I don't see the thing that you do. But all you do to edit something you published via Quickpress is hit the Edit button just like any post; it opens in full edit mode.

  5. There is no edit button on the QuickPress part. When I hit edit under posts, it only shows my posts not including the QuickPress. There's also an edit button under pages, but that doesn't bring up anything about the QuickPress either. I'm sure this is completely obvious but I just don't see anything other than to publish or save a draft and I'm soooo frustrated. Could you give me really precise, blog-illiterate directions as to where to go to delete it? I really appreciate your help.

  6. QuickPress is a fast way to create a simple post. Once you hit publish, it will show up in your main page just like any other post, and it will also be included in the list under Posts>Edit in your dashboard - just like any other post. Your "hello willy con!!" is in your sidebar: it's not a post but a text widget. So to remove it you go to Appearance>Widgets.

  7. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! Your totally right, it was a text widget thing and since I'm not actually sure what a widget is, I NEVER would have figured that out. Thank you so much.
