How do you recover posts from an old version of WordPress?

I have a question about my blog. A little background on what happened, after updating to the latest version of WordPress and after the confirmation saying that the installation was complete, all I got was a white page. I tried to make a new config which didn’t do anything, I still got the white page and I ended up having create a new blog (not usually a big deal for me), Now my question is how would I go by recovering all the old posts I made before making this new blog? I still have all the files from the old blog (except for the config) and I don’t have direct access to the database, I would have to ask my Uncle (who hosts my website).

Thanks in advance for any help!
