How does one create a link to 'latest posts' on a static page?

I’m attempting to make my home page a static page on my blog (and I can’t afford to buy a domain just yet, I’m waiting until the new year to bother with all of that) and I can’t find a way to link my latest posts to my home. Any help available?

The blog I need help with is claudiabutler.wordpress.com.

You can put the “Latest Posts” widget in the sidebar –

It also looks like you can use the archives short code to put a few of your Posts listed on a Page.

I’m attempting to make my home page a static page on my blog … and I can’t find a way to link my latest posts to my home.

The choice is either one or the other which is to say you can either have a static front page or you can have posts on your front page – one or the other. There is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page for your site and cal it “welcome” or whatever your choose, and also create a “blog” page for your posts to display on. Then you go here > Settings reading and correctly designate the pages.
