How does one save blog edits?

So. I’ve been trying to tweak a blog I posted a while back. I’ve made my edits & they’ve been saved in “autosave.” Great. Fine. Groovy. But none of the edits appear when I go back and view my blog. What’s the trick to editing a published blog? I find nothing in the dashboard that explains this. I’ve tried searching the Support site but find nothing to match my request. Do I have to pupblish the edited version then trash the old one? If so why can’t I find anything to confirm this? So far I’ve found WordPress to be maddeningly un-intuitive and not very user friendly at all. I’ve spent more time trying to figure things out than blogging. Please pardon my snappish tone but so far my time on WordPress has been a frustrating waste of time. I guess it’s my fault for being a newbie.

The blog I need help with is

    Good day to you,
I can help with that. Go to Screen options please and unhide the display of modules that include post revisions and page revisions.
    The modules can be hidden:
Posts – Post Tags, Categories, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments, Post Slug, Post Author, Post Revisions
Page – Page Attributes, Recommendations, Featured Image, Discussion, Comments, Slug, Author, Revisions

On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. The support documentation is all found at the Support link which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

Post Revisions and Page Revisions are very useful as we can look back at the recent changes made and revert to an earlier version if we need to.
