My reading settings is 5 posts of the front page but after page loading there are 7 posts and older posts are automatically loaded. So all my posts are displayed on the front page. How to solve it? Earlier there was not such problem. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The blog I need help with is labnario.wordpress.com.

You’re using Twenty Eleven theme on which the infinite scroll, a new feature is applied. Means all of your posts are seen on the homepage. To change the number of posts to show on your homepage you must have a ‘Footer widget’. Then reading settings will show you an option to disable the ‘Infinite Scroll’.

    Hello there
As I mentioned above you can disable infinite scroll only when you’ve at least one footer widget. Add a footer widget then go to reading setting to disable it.

    Sorry, but i donĀ“t understand point 2 and 5.

    1) go to Appearance -> Widgets

    2) select target widget (?)

    3) Edit it

    4) Change Position from sidebar to footer widget area

    5) select the position say 1 (OF footer widget area?)

    6) save widget

    Define target widget , please!

Thank you, and sorry i did not realize yet!

    2) I meant the widget you want to have in the footer widget area.
    5) When you select position from drop down menu it will be 1 select 1 place and save it.
    Sorry I confused you.

I do not really want a widget in the footer.

I will place one, because is the only possibility that i have to control the number of posts on the front page, isn’t?

I place the widget “Search” on the first footer widget area.
Saved it, but i don’t have sucess!
The older posts are automatically loaded.

    You don’t confused me!
Actually, I do not understand much of this steps!
    :)
