How to allow only certain people to view, comment, and post on the blog?

  1. I'm trying to use the blog for employees involved in a weight loss challenge. I only want those employees to be able to use the blog. How might I best accomplish this? We all have the same email [ ie:]

The blog I need help with is

  2. You can make the blog visibility private and invite them to become contributors to it.

  3. So then I must invite all potential 600 employees individually?

  4. I only want those employees to be able to use the blog.

Anyone can read and submit comments to a public blog. I did not know what you meant by "use the blog" and I did not know if you wanted the blog to be public or to be private.

There are various roles some of which allow the ability to post and some that don't. If you choose to have a private blog then you can send out only 10 invitations at a time. The reason for that limitation is spammer prevention.

  5. I could then, make the blog private and have folks request to be added as users. Will I then have the ability to give these users the ability to not only comment but start a new blog?

  6. Please read the information provided at the links I posted above as it's not a good use of time for me to retype it here.

If you’d like to invite others to publish posts or help approve comments on your blog, you can invite them to be a Contributor, Editor, or Author on your blog.

  7. There are times, when folks are new to blogs or websites, when the vernacular escapes us and a person sharing a "how-to" in lay-mans terms is helpful. I did use the support menu and still wasn't clear therefore my post here.
Oft times, there is a solution that isn't obvious to the beginner. This is my first time using this venue and I've already wasted someones time, please waste no more.
