    I have the Parement preset theme. I want to change the color of the “leave a comment” link to make it easier to see! Can I do this without buying the CSS upgrade? please help!

    The blog I need help with is alizabethcole.wordpress.com.

    I also am very new and very bad at CSS editing, if someone could give me step by step instructions it would be a big help!!!

    No, it would require the Custom Design Upgrade. Here are the codes which you can try out with the preview feature at appearance > custom design > css. Just past the two bits of code below into the CSS edit window, edit the colors as you see fit and then press preview. In some browsers you might have to force refresh the preview page to see the change.

    This is for the non-hover color.

    .comments a {
    color: #CC0000;
    }

    This would be the hover color.

    .comments a {
    color: #009933;
    }

    The hex color codes I’ve used are just placeholders.

    Oops, the second bit of code I forgot to edit. Use this as the second bit.

    .comments a:hover {
    color: #009933;
    }
