    Hi,I’m new here, and would appreciate if anyone can show me how to change the color of my sidebar text.THANKS.Have a great weekend ALL!

    The blog I need help with is

    Hi. Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here, or link your nickname to your blog (as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know Before Posting). Helps us help you.

    If you mean the text you’ve put in your Text widget, see here:

    If you mean your pages and tags, you can’t do it without the paid CSS upgrade ans experience in CSS edititng.

    how do it with paid?

    @superjanne, you need at least some experience with, and understanding of CSS before before buying the paid CSS upgrade. There is no official support for it, and only about three here in the forums much experience with it – and those three aren’t around all the time.

    There is a free preview function at appearance > edit CSS where you can try out changes before you buy the upgrade.

    but have already upgraded :)

    The sidebar is controlled in .secondary – change the font size there.

    The links in the sidebar are controlled right along with most of the links in the rest of the theme under “a” . If you change “color” there, then it will change the link color for the body text in pages and posts and also in the sidebar.

    If you just want to change the links colors in the sidebar, then add this to your CSS:

    .secondary a {

    and change the “red” to whatever color or hexadecimal color code you wish.

    If you’re not comfortable making those changes, you can sometimes get a refund if you contact staff. But it’s just a good practice not to buy anything if you don’t understand it.

    ok, thanks. i will try to explain what “happened”.

    after i got the header css i dont have any css code in the cheet. because i was told to put inn that header css only and remome all else.

    so all i have in the sheet now is this:

    body {

    #page {

    #header {
    background:transparent url(‘’) 0 0 no-repeat!important;

    #primary {

    the three tings i would like to change in my blog is to get rid off the white line at the top, change sidebarcolors and get rid off the white thin lines by the sides of the header.

    i hope you understand my inglish writing :)

    i did change the sidebarcolor now :) i use a hex insted of “red” :)

    To get rid of the white area above your header image and the white borders along the sides, add the following to #page in your CSS:

    I’m trying to delete some letters and numbers that keep showing up on my blog before the pages and links. I’ve deleted it from the CSS but when I try to save the spreadsheet, it doesn’t actually save the changes. “0BB 020” shows up right before each pages and link I have on my site. In the preview page it clears it up but saving it doesn’t work. Any help would be great! check out my blog to see what I’m talking about.

    In your CSS, you have

    .entry ul li:before,#sidebar ul ul li:before {
    content:"0BB 020";

    and it should be

    .entry ul li:before, #sidebar ul ul li:before {
    content: "0BB 020";

    Rats, the forum b0rked the code. After content: it should be:

    “0BB 020”

    Stupid forum it should be the following:

    quotemark forward slash 00BB space slash 0020 quotemark semicolon.

    There seems to be some general CSS weirdness going around which make me think staff is having a code party in the backroom (Matt’s the one with the lampshade on his head).

    All I can suggest is to contact staff at .

    thanks! Yeah certain codes just pop up every once and a while. Once I make the change though, it won’t allow me to save it. What then? I click “save spreadsheet” and it doesn’t save it, it just reverts back to the same code.

    If you can, just wait it out if you can for a couple hours and see if it clears up. There are quite a number of bits of weirdness right now. If staff is rolling out code, it could be a little flakey for a while.

    thanks. when I delete the whole line in the code and preview it, it’s perfect but it’s the saving that’s an issue. It’s just bugging the hell out of me right now. It looks horrible on the blog!

    and they still don’t do this kind of things on a test/beta server first… *sigh*
