How to change the autoreply wording when people subscripe
-
Hello,
Can anyone instruct me as to how I can change the wording in the autoreply emails. “Howdy” is not particularly a word I want used.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You can change this by going to the Settings > Reading page and changing the text in the ‘Blog follow email text’ and ‘Comment follow email text’ sections.

Thank you coffeemanmatt!!
Unfortunately, I do not seem to have “Blog follow email text’ and ‘Comment follow email text’ sections. ”

That’s odd. Are you the Admin of that blog logged in under the username account that registered that blog?

These support forums are only for those who have free hosted WordPress.com blogs and no others.All support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software is provided here http://wordpress.org/support/

@aprilstjohn
It’s unfortunate you did not make it clear that you were referring to a local install of WordPress.ORG software from the outset. We cannot help you here at all with any site that not being hosted by WordPress.COM -
Ok. That makes a lot of sense. I will use the link you provided.
Thanks for the great advice!! -
Very new to all of this. My new organization site has been up for about 4 days!! : ) Thanks again!!

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and run on different software. If you have not yet registered a WordPress.org username account, go to the top right hand corner of this page http://wordpress.ORG/support/ and do that. Then you will be able to post to the correct support forum for your software.
