How to customise email for new Blog post

Hello, I am relatively new to wordpress, so sorry if the question is a bit stupid.
Every time I do a new blog post, I know that my followers will receive an automatic Email.
lately i noticed that there are no pics on that email (even if there are imgs on my blog post) but just the text. I wonder if there's a way to edit this automatic email. also, at the bottom if shows all the tag, is there a way to remove it?
    Thanks
    Silvy

The blog I need help with is ilovebeautifulthings.co.

  2. It seems that WordPress doesn't have a tool for this, but if you use Mailchimp or AWeber you might be able to customize your newsletters. I found this on the support site:

WordPress.com does not offer a tool for creating your own custom newsletters; however, if you would like to offer a newsletter subscription, you can use a contact form that interested readers can fill out to be added to your newsletter list. Then, you can send your newsletter out from your own email client or newsletter service.

If you’re interested in using a newsletter service, MailChimp or AWeber are popular options. Please note that you’ll need to use the option to share a link to your newsletter form.

If you’d like to give your visitors a way to subscribe to your list on your blog, you can use the MailChimp Subscriber Popup Form.

HEY, thanks for your quick answer.
Yes, a newsletter will be a good idea, but i am worried that then the followers will get 2 emails (one from mailchimp and one from WordPress) and will end up in unsubscribe from it....
In case, is there a way to stop the WordPress one?
    thanks
    S

  4. Good question. Unfortunately I haven't tried it, so I don't know. However, since the team behind WordPress are recommending these services, I would suspect it works quite well together with WordPress, and you will be able to send just the one newsletter. I would be surprised if you were the first one to encounter this issue =)
