How to customize the Permalinks ?

Hello !

Is it possible to put a Permalinks like this : /%day%-%monthnum%-%year%-%postname% ??? Only in one category? For example a category called “news” and in other posts with Permalinks like this : /% postname% / ?? (My blog is listed on Google news)

It’s not possible to change permalink structure on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and this is the WordPress.com support forum which is only for free hosted blogs. I believe you have accidentally posted to the wrong support forum and that this is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/

I have a problem related to permalink
I add changed my permalink to %category%/%postname%

and what happens is I always see a /category after domain name
Ex. chintanp.in/category

and also it redirects all tags and category page to 404 page

well the chintanp.in/category/fun works but chintanp.in/fun doesnt work

How can I solve this?
Is there a problem with rewrite?
I am using windows
So can please anyone help with web.config?
