I don’t see the editor option in appearance, admin. I need to paste the tracking code in the footer. I have never checked it before. So no idea it was there and vanished or not. I am using an ipad guys. Please keep that in mind while answering.

The blog I need help with is chinkslounge.wordpress.com.

    What tracking code?

You don’t have a theme editor at WordPress.com; those instructions are for WordPress.ORG blogs, which do have a theme editor.

That’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog.

That’s not possible on a free hosted WordPress.com blog either.

You cannot edit your theme files. You cannot change the appearance of most themes here without the Custom Design upgrade and even then you can only change the CSS, not the underlying way the theme works.

You cannot use Google Analytics on a WordPress.com blog. The code will be stripped out as a security risk. There are a lot of other stats packages you can use, but you have to use the plain HTML version, not a javascript tracker.
