Though I have been on wordpress for some time, I only recently discovered Topics

As I am running a foodblog, I thought, great, this will help getting exposure. I noticed that all those who had their latest blog published, would have this post categorised as such. Eg. a post labeled under the category FOOD will appear under wordpress Food Topics, presumably the moment it is published.

So I created a post, used food as a category, and published it. However it did not appear as a new post under wordpress topics. Am I missing something ?

    Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is

    Hello there,
Is this the blog your are referring to?
If so please link it to your username. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary blog and then save changes.

Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

Is this the post you are referring to?
Take note that you have assigned more that a combined total of 10 categories and tags and read this > global tags > missing posts
Tags: Asian, Authentic, Authentic Thai, chili basil, chili with basil, Classic Thai, dinner, Quick meals, seafood, shrimp, South East Asian, spicy, stir fry, stirfry, Thai

Another question on the same issue: I’ve started a new blog ( and have completed 4 posts. It is primarily a photography blog, and I’d like it to appear on the Photography topic page. I just completed a post and assigned it to two categories (Photography and Montana) and two tags. It shows on the Montana page but not on the Photography page. Can anyone explain why?

The display of posts on the most popular global tags (Topics) pages like Photography are randomized. Randomized display is used because there are so many posts being published every minute of the day.

    Thanks, timethief! That makes sense.

    You’re welcome. :)
