I have absolutely no idea how to get started with CSS. I have used HTML a little in the past, or at least I understand the basics of how it works, but I’m all at sea with CSS. I can’t even understand the beginner tutorial! Is there somewhere I can get a really really simple step-by-step guide to starting to design my blog? I want to change the layout and all I can do at the moment is change the font sizes, but even then only the title and body text, not the subtitle or the pages font size. Help!

The blog I need help with is teacupspress.com.

Is this the beginner tutorial you tried?

Changing layout is a bit more advanced, but I’m sure we can help you learn as you go. Note that CSS is theme-specific. What specifically did you want to do change about the layout of the Coraline theme?

I’ve had a lot of luck in the past by watching screencasts by Chris Coyier at http://css-tricks.com/ There’s a lot of information about CSS to be found at that site.
You say you want to change the layout, but specify that you are targeting the subtitle and pages font size. I think if you ask your questions very specifically, you’ll find a lot of luck from the community here!
    Good luck and have fun!
