How to make sequentials theme look like the demo
I really like the look of Sequentials in the demo, but can’t figure out how to make the front page look anything like it. Can someone walk me through the beginning–creating the purple section for the text and different squares of color for different text.
Perhaps this is a newbie question, but I am one, so…
The blog I need help with is ipplnewtest.wordpress.com.
Sequential is designed to work seamlessly with Custom Colors http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-colors/ and the Custom Design http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ upgrade. Are the current colors not your style? We’ve included a few featured color palettes to inspire you, or you can choose your own.

See here for details on purchasing an annually renewable upgrade https://wordpress.com/pricing/ that contains a custom design upgrade required for CSS editing.
Note 1: Once you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.
Actually, I found the setting I needed. I just didn’t have the page set to Front Page. My bad. I feel dumb.
But thanks for helping.
