How to not post to home page

    Hi there,

We are wondering if its possible to publish a post to a particular section (in our case, Lifestyle) and not to the home page? We would like to think such a feature exists but we weren’t able to find it. Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is

Pages we bloggers create are static and cannot automatically update. Only the dynamic categories pages created by the software will automatically update.

Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

    Here’s a link to a custom menu walk-through >

    Hi Timethief,

We believe there was a slight misunderstanding. We know how to publish posts under different pages using categories but what we don’t know how to do is to not have a post automatically sent to the home page. Instead we just want to post it under a particular category and not have it show up on the home page.

The ONLY way to do this is to set a static home page and have your blog on a different page. There’s no way to prevent posts from showing up in the main blog page. You could change the dates to be like ten years ago, but that’s all you can do to suppress the posts showing in the blog.
