SIr how can i place google ads on my wordpress blog….. can i or i cannt???

The blog I need help with is

If you are talking about this blog,

Advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed on wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under “Affiliate marketing blogs” in the bottom set of bullet points in the “types of blogs” link below.

Why can’t we use Google ads? If we’re working hard uploading content weekly I would’ve thought some kind of reward would be ok?

First off wordpress already runs adsense on our blogs, and google rules say only one adsense account per domain. WordPress.COM is that one domain. Our blogs are subdomains of wordpress.COM.

It may be something that will come in the future, but no one knows if or when. Expect to have to pay for it as a paid upgrade and from what I know of what friends make, many bloggers probably won’t cover the cost of the upgrade.

Why not just self-host a blog using the wordpress software? Figure a total average cost of between $10 and $25 per month (including domain costs) depending on your bandwidth and storage requirements.

There are plenty of rewards for great blogging that aren’t monetary: within six weeks of getting online a group of strangers flew me to new york to meet a movie star. And there’s nothing like the satisfaction you get knowing you have loyal readers who actually miss you when you’re not posting. And all of those rewards are available on

Besides, anyone with any nous at all has Adblocker, so basically only losers see adsense, and there aren’t enough losers in the world to make money off of.

“…a group of strangers flew me to new york to meet a movie star.”

could we have just her initials?

    “Viggo Mortensen”

No one makes money with Adsense unless you have Perez Hilton’s traffic. Making money with it is a myth. If you have the traffic, you’re better off looking for sponsors which pay off better than click ads. You first need the traffic to justify having ads.sponsors.

…and there aren’t enough losers in the world to make money off of.

    Tell that to Bill Gates!

    p.s. Viggo who?
