I’m in the newest version of WordPress and I can’t seem to post. I copied/pasted text into the post box, but when I hit publish, a window in my own computer docs opens and the post doesn’t post. The program wants me to do something in that window but I don’t know what.

More specific: when I click on Publish Post, an open file dialogue box pops up and asks me to select an image file–which I don’t need since the post has no images. What is up? Am I in a wrong new post page?
Dear Kardotim, I just fixed it. I don’t know how, but by clicking around I found a different post page, the real, right one, using the Help topics to see what it should look like (not like the one I was on!). I had the problem referenced on a page I got to by clicking New Post, but somehow it was only for images. There is another New Post button that takes you to the real post page. I have never written a less clear explanation for anything, but I can’t help it! In any case, I managed to publish the post. Thanks so much to responding, you’re a sweetie.
