How to put PDF files on WordPress
I often get inserts for my site in PDF format. The only way I know of putting them on the site is by converting them to a Word.doc which in most cases are disastrous. Is there a Plugin or a particular method I could use to overcome this problem please?
The blog I need help with is stmargaretsifield.wordpress.com.
Thank you very much thememagicrobot. I will have a go at this, it looks good and not to difficult, says he even before he starts to try and use it.
Thanks again, kind regards,
RonBin now 84!
I tried your suggestion and went into SCRIBD.COM but all I got was an offer of books to read and a three month trial? I did a screen shot but cannot find where to upload the file?
I’m sorry that didn’t work. I must admit I’ve never tried to embed a pdf directly into my blog. I’ve either converted the document to Word (usually easy enough if it’s just text) or linked to it from an external site like box.com
I get items which arrive in PDF form and somehow I have to convert them into Word.doc. I have tried supposed free PDF converters but they are not much good and really once you try to use them, they come up with a demand for a payment, so much for being free! I will have to find another way around this problem.
Cheers for now,
I don’t like to be beaten. What about Doxillion?? I’ve just downloaded it and it looks good. Dunno how long the free use will last though. I have a great deal of time for the Australian free software from NCH and use “Switch” and “Prism”regularly for audio and video files and they seem to remain free indefinitely.
