How to remove categories, meta, and search from my widget

I am trying to remove everything off of the sidebar on this page:
http://vibrantcities.org/widget/
Please Help!The blog I need help with is vibrantcities.org.
Just go to appearance > widgets > then delete or move the ones you don’t want.
All widgets are both installed and removed here > Appearance > Widgets. Evert theme has a default sidebar display that appears to contain actual widgets but doesn’t. When you select, click to o[pen, configure, click save and click close on each widget you want to display you override the default display. If you do not want any widgets at al;l then place a text widget at the top pf the sidebar, click to open, enter no title or body text click save and click close.
