how to remove Google MX verification page

  • Hi

I’ve just enabled the email service Google MX with wordpress and had my account verified. As I had to create this ‘html page’ for the Google MX verification which has been successful, but it now seems that I can’t remove the link to this page from my sidebar (as I have a page widget) even as I delete the page from my site. So I have this odd “googlehostedservice.html” page-link on my sidebar that links to nowhere and can’t be removed either.. please help!

  • Side bars are usually cached. Have you tried a force reload of the site?

A link to your blog would be helpful as well. That way others can see if its showing up.

  • I’ve tried reloading a few times, maybe the cache will clear soon I hope.

Basically, it appears ok when I choose to arrange my page widget by “ID” or “Title” but if I’m to arrange by “Menu Order” then I will find an additional (and invalid) “googlehostedservice.html” pagelink appearing on my sidebar.

Currently, I’ve arranged the pages by “ID” so it looks ok, but I might need to arrange my pages by “menu order”, then I will need to rectify this problem.

    Thanks for your suggestion though!

  • I’m not seeing it on your blog: http://fivetwosix.wordpress.com

Not seeing much of anything there actually. Is this the blog you’re talking about?

  • Nope! Its the one with my own domain: sport-speak.com

  • I’m not seeing the page there either in your sidebar. Looks like it’s gone. :)

I will now arranged them by “Menu Order” to see if it looks ok from your side. Thanks!
