How to remove 'leave a comment' link

    I’m using the Morning After theme. Url is http;//

    My blog has a satirical focus so I’m not utilizing the comment option. A link – ‘leave a comment’ appears with the feature excerpts. Since it is redundant in the case of my blog I would like to remove it. I’d also like to remove the link from the main post section.

    I have applied the CSS upgrade and tried unsuccessfully to apply CSS solutions that I found on the forum relating to the disabling of the ‘leave a comment’ link.

    Any feedback would be much appreciated.

    The blog I need help with is

    If you add this to the bottom of the css file does it help?

    .latest_comments {display:none}

    Gave it a try but no go.

    Thanks for responding to the query.

    I’d also like to be able to find the CSS code to remove the discussion bar at the bottom of posts and the ‘comments are closed’ line.

    I have flagged this thread so it is moved to the CSS forum. Do note that only Staff and single Volunteer usually provide CSS editing help so you will have to be patient while waiting.

    @firefly93, since your site is set to private, I cannot see it. Can you temporarily set it to the center privacy setting (public but block search engines) so I can take a look and make sure I’m trying to get rid of the right thing? From what I can see looking at the theme demo site, the author, date and comment link are all under one selector in the CSS so you can’t hide just one bit of it. You have to hide it all.

    Sorry I’m a bit late in catching up with your comment. Yes I’ll make it public.

    The whole line of metadata (posted by, date and leave a comment) is under a single selector in the CSS which means it is all or nothing. You can’t just hide the comment link. The following gets ride of that entire line on the main (home) page only.

    .home .post_meta {
    display: none;

    Thanks – much appreciated.

    You are welcome.
