In the process of retrieving my forgotten blog password, I entered the incorrect email address, and WordPress set up an entirely new account for me! A useless, extra account to confuse me. Has anyone had success consolidating accounts? What a horrible system.
    Blog url:

Could you please let me know the username of the extra account that was created so we can take a look? Thanks.

It’s the username I posted under (and the one I am posting under now).
I have a different username that is ACTUALLY the one I use.
However, in the process of retrieving a password for it, WordPress just created a new account for me.

Will you also please post your other username?

    Why would that be necessary?

If you don’t want to post it then don’t do it. I suspect that the two account are mucked up due to the email address issue but I could be wrong. You see here the email address your register any username account with becomes your unique identifier. So if you used an email address that was already associated with your other username account that’s what happened that mucked everything up.

You have two separate email address settings at

Blog notifications for the admin (like comment moderation, Likes, new subscriptions, etc) are sent to the email address at Settings -> General in the Dashboard.

Personal notifications (like comments on your post, subscription emails, and upgrade renewals) are sent to the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in the Dashboard.

It looks like you’ve changed your username so it’s no longer displaying here, and no site is currently attached to it. If you still need help with an extra account, please let me know.
