Hi, I was curious on on mark as mature button on one of my posts (silly me) and clicked it. I then received an email saying that my blog is marked as mature.

It’s not, how can I undo this?

The blog I need help with is jeradyne.wordpress.com.

Generally speaking, it’s best not to click on things to find out what they do. Clicking on the delete button is a temptation to many and then they find out it is PERMANENT.

I flagged this for staff attention.

I know, it was very stupid of me to click on it. Thank you so much. Will I be notified when my blog is being unmarked as mature?

No, but your name here in the forums will link to your blog once again. Actually they might post and tell you in this thread.

There seems to be a rash of this in the last week or so. There’s a reason they say “If you don’t know what it does, don’t mess with it”.

The staff must be doing the Mature on auto-pilot without looking at the blog – nothing on her blog is even close – unless the staff figures when the blog owner clicks on Mature that the owner plans on adding Mature stuff in the future – there have been a few people in the forum however that wanted to mark their blogs Mature because of the content they were planning on adding –

Yes, I think that may be it. I’ve never seen so many false reports, and it’s always someone who reported their own blog.

Hi there, I’ve unmarked your blog as mature.

To clarify, when we receive mature reports for blogs, we check for mature content on the blog such as nudity, violence, etc as described here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/

If the reporter is also the blog owner, then as auxclass mentioned we take that to mean that the user is requesting that rating, as we ask them to do in the support page linked above:

“If you are publishing a blog that you expect will contain content that is intended for mature audiences, we ask that you provide us the courtesy of reporting your own blog by using the Report as Mature option in the blog menu of your Toolbar.”

Thank you so much! I really appreciate my blog being unmarked so quickly.

I would be careful not to click on things I don’t know next time.
