It says, go to Setting and Writing and add the URL’s you want to PING. But I simply cannot find where to add the URLs. I can find Settings/Writing, but not where to add to :(
The blog I need help with is divadyster.wordpress.com.
Hi. Where does it say “go to Setting and Writing”?
This is how you do it (and if it’s another WordPress.com blog, it’s already done for you):
It says so in other Help sections I’ve read.
So I need to do this everytime I make an entry?
go to Setting and Writing and add the URL’s you want to PING.
Those instructions apply only to WordPress.ORG installs. They do not apply to WordPress.com free hosted blogs. There is no such page or feature on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

Post updates are automatically sent through Ping-o-Matic, a ping relay tool owned by the WordPress Foundation, to major feed reader and blog search engines when we publish. Immediately after you publish or delete a page or post, your WordPress.com blog sends a ping to Google, Bing, Yahoo! and Ask. Our Publicize feature updates your Yahoo! and Twitter accounts with a short summary and a link back to your blog content.
Thanks timethief! I was wondering why I couldn’t find this information either. Is it easy to transfer to a wordpress.org site? I would like to plug in my own list of sites to ping. I’m guessing it probably costs something to do that though. I did go to Ping-O-Matic and put in my URL but it looks like I would have to keep doing that after every post.
