HTML formatting when writing new page gone??
-
Hello. I am trying to add a paypal button to my ‘donation’ page like I have already done several times before… however I HAVE to be able to view the page in HTML to do so and I can no longer find that option… was this option removed in an update or something??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also – I want to mention – I DO NOT need help on how to add Paypal buttons… the way I WAS doing it worked beautifully… so if that HTML option is gone now I don’t know what to do and I won’t even be able to USE wordpress anymore and I’ll be REALLY annoyed…. thank you!

The code from Paypal will not work on a wordpress.COM site. Know that the only instructions that will work for posting a PayPal donation button on a WordPress.com blog are found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
Note that the PayPal email link is not supported and PayPal customization options are not supported either https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/paypal-button-41?replies=12#post-2517229 This is not likely to be changed any time soon, if at all.If you do not succeed state which step you get stuck on here and then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. I found it! Thank you! And PayPal does work with wordpress… just FYI. You have to do these steps:
1) Chose “subscription” for recurring amounts – or “donation” (just to edit this button)
2) click the EMAIL tab, not the HTML tab
3) copy this link into the editing of the page on wordpress:
<img src=”https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_LG.gif” alt=”Buy Now Button” />
4) copy the EMAIL link into the part that says “Your link here” and keep that link inbetween the “”:)

wow ok… I was just trying to be helpful…. And all I was looking for was that tab at the top of the typing space that says “html,” I just didn’t see it. Simple answer :)
