hyperlinks on P2 them?

  1. I am new to the p2 theme, and am wondering if it is possible to create hyperlinks from the front page in the body of a post or status update. When I click on "upload/insert media" and then the "from url" tab I get the usual boxes for address and title, but no button appears to insert into post. I am on a mac using safari, but I also tried it in firefox with the same problem. Is there a way to create a hyperlink fro the front page, or do users have to do it from the dashboard?

  2. I apologize, in advance, if these do not help you as I find the P2 theme to be confounding myself. There is a video here that may or may not be helpful >

Hopefully, Staff or another Volunteer who fathoms the workings of this theme will also post into this thread and provide the help you need.

  3. I'm also baffled as to why you are referring to clicking "upload/insert media" and speaking about creating links in posts. Have you seen this entry? Creating links in posts and pages >

  4. @timethief (second post): P2 doesn't have that hyperlink button on the posting front page - it has a links icon that just creates a different type of post but does not insert a hyperlink with a title of your choosing. An alternate way to insert a hyperlink into any post is to click on upload/insert media (the starburst icon) and then click on the from url tab -- usually that will work to insert a hyperlink instead of (or in addition to) using the button on the edit panel in the support page you provided. In this case though, when you try to do that from the front page there is no button to click to actually insert it.

  5. When no button appear s that's usually indicative of a browser issue. Which browser and version of it are you using? You could try these troubleshooting techniques > If your browser version is outdated you can upgrade it here >

If the issue still remains you will have to go here > and type "P2 hyperlinks" into the searchbox. The box will expand and at the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will expand reveal the contact form so you can contact Staff for help.
