    Hello,
    I come from de french forum. This is a translation from google translator and from my own english.

    This subject to signal that I can no longer change my background with the theme Yoko for free. I viewing my theme, I can record it, but it keeps my previous background. It is reported to me that this part has now become paid. Is this normal?

    Hi,
    The issue you report is one that I and others have encountered since around 26 June, the date on which I first noticed the problem and reported it in a forum topic. There is a discussion of the issue, and a possible solution, within the topic Custom Background and Header links in admin panel redirect to Customize page.

    Try exiting the preview at Customize > Colors & Background to see if that resolves the issue.

    Hi, I also use Yoko theme. And yes, in order to change colors and backgrounds you have to have Premium plan. When you try to change there is the following message: “This feature is a part of the Premium Plan. Purchase to make it live or exit the preview.”

    No need to pay, but I agree it is confusing.

    There’s been a change in the underlying software we use so that any background or header change is now done in the Customizer.

    Please see this Staff reply: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/custom-background-and-header-links-in-admin-panel-redirect-to-customize-page?replies=46#post-2416182 The most important point is to first click the “Exit the Preview” link in the Custom Background & Colors or the Custom Design preview.

    If you need more help with that, please post back here.

    One more thing, once you exit the preview, the Customizer should reload and you will be able to access and change the background on your site in the future without any further problem.

    Hi there,

    I just want to reiterate what others mentioned here: To change your site’s background, please go to your site’s Customizer and open the “Colors & Backgrounds” section there. At the top of that section, you will see this text:

    This feature is a part of the Premium Plan. Purchase to make it live or exit the preview.

    You can click on “exit the preview” to exit the Custom Design preview. (Changes you make to your site’s background while previewing the Custom Design features are currently not published on your site.)

    Then, you can go back to that section and set the custom background for your site. You do not need to upgrade to the Premium plan to do that.

    I have reported this to our team to try to clarify and resolve this issue, but in the meantime the steps above will allow you to change your site’s background. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
