The Twitter profile widget is a JavaScript widget and cannot be used on free hosted blogs. Here the software strips out the code to preserve security and stability on this multiuser blogging platform.

    Hello there,
The Facebook profile widget is a JavaScript widget and cannot be used on free hosted blogs.

You can post a Facebook badge in your sidebar.

You can also enable sharing buttons on your posts, pages and index pages.
    Also note the “like” button.

You can have Facebook like & share buttons on your posts.

You can set up Publicize and publish to your Facebook profile page >

Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs or RSS Grafitti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.

RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.

You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

  5. I forgot the Facebook like box widget which is found here > Appearance > Widgets and can be installed in your sidebar.

  6. thanks so much TT,u been a great help!

  7. You're welcome. :)

  8. The Facebook profile widget works on my page. The twitter widget not. If both are java scripts why is one working and the other not???

    See my page:
    hosted on

  9. The only Twitter widget that will operate on free hosted blogs is found here > Appearance > Widgets

  10. I forgot to say that if "Protect my updates" is checked in your Twitter account, this widget will not be able to access your Tweets. See Public vs. Private at Twitter.
