I can't delete my site?

  1. I can't delete my site. I have tried hitting "delete" a few times but never get an email. I checked SPAM and there is nothing there either. I made sure the email address on my profile is correct, and it is. Please help - I want to delete the site

    Thank you

The blog I need help with is

  2. Hi there,
Please check your "social" tab in Gmail if you use it. I'll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  3. @acweber35-

    Hi there,

I see that you have sent in requests to permanently delete the site. I'd be happy to complete this for you. Before I do, I just wanted to confirm one more time for myself. If I permanently delete this site you will lose everything. All the posts, pages, media, images, etc. will no longer be available. If you are okay with that, please reply to confirm and I'd be happy to permanently delete it for you.

  4. Yes, please delete the site. Now I am unable to access my own site, but it is still up and running. If it's not going to get deleted, I at least want access to my own material.

Regarding the emails, I never did get an email to confirm deletion. I've checked all Google tabs as well as SPAM. Nothing. In fact, I have the box checked to notify me via email when I receive responses to these posts, and I'm not getting those either.

  5. Is it possible my site has been hacked?

  6. Then NO YOU DO NOT WANT HER TO DELETE THE SITE. You want an export file first.

  7. My site is still up and not deleted, and I still have no access to it, even though it belongs to me only. I've never received any emails (yes, I've checked all my tabs, SPAM, and verified the email address is correct).

It is extremely frustrating that my personal information and family photos are on this site and I have no access to it, and it's not getting deleted as requested.

Raincoaster......I have no idea what this means "export file" ????????

  8. All support docs are at
Type export into searchbox and click

It’s your content; you can do whatever you like with it. Go to Tools -> Export in your dashboard to download an XML file of your blog’s content. This format, which we call WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags.

  9. How am I supposed to do this if I can't access my own dashboard??

  10. You can't as yet but when you can gain access you will be able to do what raincoaster suggested.

If you cannot access your dashboard at this is going to boil down to how many username accounts you have and exactly which one registered that blog. There is only one means of account recovery so please read on.

You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the upgrade for it to access the blog's dashboard.

  11. I tried logging out and logging back in. Now, my site looks like it has been deleted (it doesn't show up on my site list) however the url is still active and all my site content is still visible online. Even if - for whatever reason - I can't delete the site itself, I'd like to be able to delete the site's content and the photos attached. How can I do this?

  12. Can you access the site or not?

  13. If you can access the site then you can export a copy of the content out and then delete all content. You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog. Then you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.
    bulk delete images & media

Here's how to permanently delete Trash >

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 - 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results:

  14. No, I can't access it at all. This is what happens when I log on to WordPress:

A black taskbar appears at the top. On the left side is the WordPress "W" logo, and on the right side is "raisedbypsychopaths" with my avatar. If I click on the "W" and select "settings", it takes me to "my account" page where I can change my email or my password. If I select "my blogs", it takes me to "my sites" page, where "raisedbypsychopaths" does NOT appear. If I go to the right side of the task bar and click on the title, the same things happen.

When I asked for help the other day, my dashboard was there, but it wouldn't allow me access. Now, the dashboard does not appear at all. The only screens I can access are "my account" and "my sites."

  15. All you can do at this point is wait for Staff assistance.

  16. Timethief, I don't know how support on WordPress works. I only know this page seems to be my only method of getting help. By "wait for Staff assistance", does that mean there is staff who can fix this but I have to hope they acknowledge my post? Otherwise if they don't, I am left with no ability to fix this?

  17. You need to wait for Staff to post into this thread. They will do that after they work through all threads that were tagged for help before this one was tagged.

  18. The site has been deleted.
