i can't get RID of the comments box on bottom of page

    I went to discussions in settings while in the page and there is no box to uncheck so people can’t leave comments- how can I get rid of it?

    The blog I need help with is theintrepidculinologist.com.

    You can turn off comments for individual posts or pages, by using the Discussion Module on the edit post/page screen. If you don’t see it, go up to screen options, and click on it, and then click on Discussion. Then there will be a module on the edit page, which will allow you to turn off comments for the page/post.
